Mud and Gypsum

Mud and gypsum are a substrate used to cover and protect the walls and ceilings of buildings, and both contain cement, sand and lime gypsum and high-performance additives.


Mud is applied to the exterior walls of buildings. It provides a protective layer against weathering and improves the appearance of the building.


Gypsum is applied to the interior walls and ceilings of buildings. It provides a smooth and even surface and improves the acoustic and fire performance of the building.


High-performance additives include our cellulose ethers (HPMC, MHEC) and redispersible emulsion powders (RDP/VAE).


(HPMC, HEMC, RDP) in mud and gypsum role:


1. Improve workability: It can improve constructability and improve construction quality by providing better adhesion and reducing sagging.


2. Improve stability: cellulose ether has good thickening, which is conducive to good adhesion to the wall, and makes its surface smooth, easy to construct, and no viscous feeling.


3. Improve pumpability: cellulose ether has good thickening and water retention, which is conducive to the good flow of materials in the pipeline. It reduces clogging during machine spraying.


4. Increased water retention: Cellulose ethers have good water retention, which helps prevent cracking and ensures better curing.


5. Enhance durability: RDP adequate hydration reaction and good adhesion make the material stronger.


6. Better adhesion: Good water retention of cellulose ether helps cement to fully hydrate, and RDP has strong viscosity. They are all designed to strengthen the adhesion of cement.
